Apartment fire near Princeton U.

PRINCETON BOROUGH, N.J. - January 10, 2007 The fire reached four alarms before firefighters gainned the upper hand.

Crews were rescuing pets from the 13-unit complex, but no people were reported trapped or injured.

Residents of the University-owned faculty-staff residence were being directed to McCarter Theatre, where a representative from the University's housing department was available. Arrangements for alternate housing were being made.

Roads in the area were closed because of the fire, and drivers were advised to plan alternate routes during rush hour.
