Feds: Weapons being exported from Luzerne, Pa.

SCRANTON, Pa. - January 10, 2008 - Federal prosecutors say 45-year-old Mark Komoroski of D&R Sports in Nanticoke, Luzerne County, was arrested Monday and released on $50,000 bail. He denies any wrongdoing.

A criminal complaint alleges that Komoroski conspired with Sergey Korznikov (SAYR'-gay KORZ'-nih-koff), to smuggle rifle scopes, firearms magazines, face shields and other equipment to Russia.

Korznikov has also been arrested. It wasn't immediately clear if he made bail or whether he had an attorney.

Komoroski and Korznikov each face up to five years in prison if convicted.
