The shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. at the Martin Luther King Recreation Center at 22nd and Cecil B. Moore Streets.
An argument apparent broke out between fans during a benefit basketball game.
Police said one person opened fire striking a 15-year old male spectator in the chest.
The wounded teen was rushed Temple Hospital in very critical condition. He died a short time later.
Investigators say while the center was crowded, no one is claiming to have seen anything.
