This brew will cost you
COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) - January 30, 2008 Carlsberg says its new Vintage Number One
beer is probably the world's best and most expensive. The Danish
brewer is charging about $400 for a single bottle of less than a
pint. The brewmaster says only 600 bottles of the beer will be made
and most will be sold through three of Copenhagen's most exclusive
restaurants. He says more than 50 have already been purchased.
Consumers won't be returning the empties for a deposit. Each bottle
has a hand-stenciled label by a well known artist. The empties are
said to be worth about 100 bucks each.
