Dog tracks down would-be robber

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - March 16, 2008 It happened around 10 p.m. Saturday at Roselle Liquors in the 2500 block of Kirkwood Highway.

Police say the clerk caught up with Alma Cline of Wilmington at the exit and she handed over the gun, which turned out to be a pellet gun, then fled.

A police dog tracked Cline to a home two blocks away, where troopers could see her sitting on a sofa inside.

Cline was arrested and charged with first-degree attempted robbery. Police say Cline was wanted on a burglary warrant from Elsmere Police. She's being held on both charges at the Women's Correctional Institute on $7,500 bail.
