Thieves steal donations for children

NEWARK, Del. - April 8, 2008 The officers arrived on the scene at 373 East Chestnut Hill Road and found the exterior glass door had been shattered.

When they entered the business and checked inside they discovered a burglary had occurred.

Dairy Queen employees arrived to aid in inventorying the business.

The items identified as stolen, shocked and saddened the Dairy Queen employee and the Troopers on the scene.

Three donation jars specifically benefiting the Children's Miracle Network (www.childrensmiraclenetwork.org) were taken- containing an undisclosed amount of money inside. The business also sustained approximately $500.00 in damage.

The investigators handling this case would appreciate any information leading to the identification and arrest of the subject(s) responsible.
