Phila. watchdog group seeks police beating video
PHILADELPHIA (AP) - June 13, 2008 Four officers were fired shortly after the beating was caught on
video shot by a WTXF-TV news helicopter; their union is challenging
the firings. An investigation by the district attorney's office is
still in progress; as part of that probe, the video was enhanced.
Advisory Commission Chairman Robert Nix said Friday that he
doesn't want to compromise the district attorney's work, but would
like to make arrangements to view the enhanced video privately.
