Cape May to introduce $350 parking fee

CAPE MAY, N.J. (AP) - June 19, 2008

The Victorian resort has adopted an ordinance that will let those residents pay $350 to park on the street near their homes.

They must first prove they can't park on their properties.

Officials are working out the details. But the town will likely mark off the space with paint or a sign and residents would get a sign to put on the dashboard of their vehicles.

The ordinance will become law 20 days after Tuesday night's approval.
