Baby hurt by shattered glass from bullet
LANCASTER, Pa. (AP) - July 6, 2008 Forty-year-old James Swarr, of East Petersburg, was arrested and
charged with simple assault and other offenses for allegedly firing
the bullet.
Tiffanie Howard, of East Petersburg, had been driving with a
5-month-old and another child Friday night when the window
shattered.
Police say Swarr had been firing a rifle and a shotgun toward
the road, including at a box on a utility pole. Authorities say he
hit the car and also knocked out phone service to several
customers.
Police say Swarr was careless but did not mean to hurt anyone.
Swarr has a non-published telephone listing and could not be
reached for comment.
