Teen charged in Feltonville store shooting

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - July 21, 2008 Police said 41-year-old Amissi Ndikumasabo was shot in the back of the head on July 15 and pronounced dead at the scene at Urban Wear in the Feltonville section of the city. Police say his wife, whose name was not released, remains in critical condition at Temple University Hospital.

Police said 19-year-old Thomas Foggy, also of Feltonville, was arrested Friday and charged with murder, attempted murder, criminal conspiracy, aggravated assault, robbery and a firearms count.

A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled for Wednesday. It was not immediately clear whether Foggy had an attorney.

Friends told The Philadelphia Inquirer that the victim had immigrated from Africa more than 15 years ago and originally sold T-shirts under a tent in Kensington. About three years ago, they said, he and his wife saved enough money to open the store in Feltonville.
