4 people killed in Mississippi casino bus crash

TUNICA, Miss. (AP) - August 10, 2008 Tunica County spokesman Larry Liddell says the Harrah's Casino bus was taking a group of tourists to the airport when it crashed Sunday morning.

Liddell says the tourists were traveling to catch a flight to South Carolina.

The accident happened at the intersection of Casino Center and U.S. Highway 61 in Tunica County, an area with several bustling casinos along the Mississippi River in the northwest corner of the state.

Liddell says 43 people were on board, including the driver. The injured were taken to the Regional Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn., or to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Desoto.
