Christy Hart says the Crispy Chocolate Cricket Parfait tastes great.
She and her four-year-old son Ian sampled some of the insect goodies as part of the "Picnicking with the Bugs" event, at the Western Kentucky Botanical Gardens.
Chef Justin Crandall was called on to do some of the catering.
He tells the Messenger-Inquirer newspaper it was his first time cooking with bugs.
He adds his Cricket-and-Potato-Chip Encrusted Pork Loin was surprisingly good.
