Man gets life sentence in slaying of teen

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - August 16, 2008 Court records show that Aaron Archy shook the hand of his 17-year-old victim, Luis Perez, before killing him in November 2005. Archy was convicted in May of first-degree murder and two weapons charges.

Archy also faces trial in a double slaying in February 2005. Police say he killed Holland Brown and Marquita Smith during a robbery in Wilmington.

Archy will not be eligible for the death penalty in those slayings because he was 17 at the time.

He had been tried previously in Perez's killing, but jurors were unable to reach a verdict.
