Del. reports first West Nile case

DOVER, Del. (AP) - September 17, 2008

Public Health officials say a 57-year-old Kent County man is infected, but hasn't needed hospitalization.

Delaware has seen 21 human cases of West Nile since the first case in 2002. Two people have died. Only one case of the virus was found in Delaware last year.

Most people who are infected with West Nile display no symptoms or very mild flu-like symptoms.
