Deals at drug store chains this week

Walgreens, CVS and Riteaid are primarily drug stores, but they have everything from toys to food as we head into the holidays. And their prices are often competitive with other major chains. Here are some deals for the week ending Nov. 29, 2008.

RiteAid is offering 50% off holiday home decor, candles and Christmas cards. Assorted 30-50 square foot gift wraps are Buy One, Get One Free. Other Buy One, Get One Free deals include John Frieda hair care products; holiday food and cosmetic gift sets; roasted peanuts; and Revlon ColorStay and Beyond Natural cosmetics. They also have a Philips universal three-device remote control free with a rebate.

Walgreens has a couple of holiday Buy One, Get TWO Free deals including Hallmark color studio gift wrap and select gift tissue, gift tags and bows. Walgreens also has a number of Buy One, Get One Free deals. They include boxed Christmas cards, 100-light light sets, Nature's Bounty vitamins, 11-ounce Palmolive dish detergent, Edy's ice cream and 12-ounce Royal Dansk cookies. Using coupons from the store ad, you can save in the photo department. Delas include Buy One, Get One Free offers on 5x7 enlargements, film processing and DVD transfers.

CVS also has a number of Buy One, Get One Free deals. Among them, Tylenol, two-liter bottles of Pepsi, boxed Hershey chocolates, All laundry detergent, store-brand batteries and Revlon cosmetics.
