But this one was not part of a family of wayward dolphins whose presence in the Shrewsbury River has animal rescuers worried.
The common dolphin, a deep water species not usually found near the coast, was found in Keansburg. Two other common dolphins have turned up dead in the area in recent weeks.
The dolphins in the Shrewsbury are bottlenose dolphins. They've been there since June.
Federal wildlife officials don't plan to try to move them unless they appear to be in imminent danger.
