Getting the same card for 60 years

Art Hebel and Bill Nichols know what they'll be getting for Christmas.

The same thing they've gotten every year for 60 years.

A Christmas card.

The same Christmas card.

One year Hebel sends it to Nichols and the next year Nichols sends it back.

It started in 1948 when the two where classmates in Richmond, Michigan.

Now, their card is the only communication they have.

Hebel tells the Times Herald newspaper he doesn't even know his old friend's phone number.

While the card has stayed the same, one thing has changed.

A stamp for the card used to cost a penny.

Now, they send it certified mail.
