Dead dogs found in Millville

MILLVILLE, NJ - January 2, 2009 - A resident of Millville, New Jersey was walking his dogs off Glenside Road and made the discovery.

The dogs found are described as:

- One male pit bull, 6 mos to 1 year, light brown and white with flea collar
- One male pit bull, 6 mos to 1 year, light brown and white, ears white with brown spots
- One female pit bull, 6 mos to 1 year, brindle in color

Investigators say all three were emaciated, had fresh wounds as well as scars consistent with fighting. Police say the dogs were also bruised.

Authorities go on to say they don't believe any dog fighting happened where the bodies were found, saying it appears to be dump site only.

Police add, the bodies may have come from the neighborhood on the east side of Sharp Street, where there have been many issues with pit bulls.
