Delaware State Police say a Wilmington man was arrested twice within a few hours this weekend. Police called to the Budget Motel on Dupont Highway in New Castle on Saturday for a domestic complaint arrested Gabriel Dominelli. He was charged with assault and two other offenses and released.

Dominelli was ordered to not have contact with his girlfriend, but police say he returned to the motel, forced her into his car and fled.

While driving, police say called 911 twice to falsely report an armed man in the motel parking lot.

The woman escaped early Sunday and called police. The woman was treated at Christiana Hospital for injuries to her eye, ribs, shoulder and arm and released.

Dominelli was charged with assault and seven other offenses and jailed on $6,100 bond pending a court hearing.
