Police look for man who groped teens

Philadelphia police are looking for a man who may have been responsible for four groping incidents involving teenage girls.June 10, 2008 at 8:00 a.m. at 7000 Germantown Avenue: Police say a14-year-old girl was walking to school when a man jogged past her and groped her buttocks.

December 23, 2008 at 5:25 p.m. at 6600 Boyer Street: Police say a 17-year-old girl was waiting for a bus when a man walked past her twice, groping her buttocks as he passed. Police say the man mumbled something unintelligible.

February 5, 2009 at 8:10 a.m. at 7400 Germantown Avenue: Police say a 14-year-old girl was walking to school when a man groped her buttocks as she walked past him.

March 6, 2009 at 8:00 a.m. at 7500 Germantown Avenue: Police say a 17-year-old girl walking to school was approached by a man who appeared to be jogging and groped her buttocks.

Investigators say the suspect has been broadly described as a black male, about 40 to 50 years of age, over 6' tall, dark complexion and medium build, sometimes with a beard and wearing glasses.

Police say he is usually seen wearing jogging or sweat clothing, navy blue in color and may appear to be jogging. In the most recent incident, the man was reportedly wearing a navy sweat suit with red triangular patches on the sleeves.

Area public and private schools and Crossing Guards have been alerted.
