Riding naked for a cause

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - March 16, 2009

About 50 cyclists took part in the event billed as a demonstration against the country's energy dependence.

Not all them undressed, but those who did were showing solidarity with the date of the Southern Hemisphere World Naked Bike Ride.

The cyclists plan to take it off again when the Northern Hemisphere World Naked Bike Ride is staged June 13.

An organizer told The Register-Guard newspaper that the event was "thrilling" and "definitely an adrenaline rush."
