Child struck by car near bus stop

A seven-year-old boy is in critical condition at Children's Hospital after he was struck by a car Tuesday morning while trying to catch the school bus.It happened around 8:20 a.m. on Byberry Road in Hatboro, Pa.

Police say the boy was crossing the street, trying to catch the bus, when he was hit by a car driven by a 22-year-old Hatboro woman driving eastbound.

No charges have been filed, but police say the investigation continues.

The driver was being interviewed by police Tuesday.

The injured boy's five-year-old cousin was with him at the time. That boy was treated for minor abrasions. It is unclear if he was also hit, or if he fell.
