BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - March 30, 2009 - Nine-year-old Duncan Connolly and his 7-year-old brother Jack of
LeRoy went missing March 8 after their father allegedly
failed to return them to their mother following a custody visit.
McLean County Coroner Beth Kimmerling says the two children's
bodies were found Sunday inside a car in Putnam County. The body of
the father, Michael Connolly, was found nearby.
The boy's mother, Amy Leichtenberg, says in a statement she's
heartbroken by her son's deaths, which she blames in part on the
judicial system.
A court order barred Michael Connolly from contact with
Leichtenberg.
