Toilet paper used for jail escape

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - June 25, 2009

Officers in Columbia say they captured Curtis Jones, who's charged with escaping from the Howard County jail.

According to authorities, Jones used a folded cardboard tube from a roll of toilet paper to jam his cell lock.

Police say a tip led them to Jones.

He tried to run but was spotted a short time later.

According to authorities, Jones also escaped from a jail in 1996 by climbing through a hole in the ceiling.
