NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) - July 1, 2009
Officers were called to Pell Street in New Castle around 11:30
p.m. Tuesday and found two men who said that someone had just tried
to rob them and a third man had been shot.
Police say the three men were approached by a man who ordered
them to the ground. One man complied and was hit in the back of the
head with the gun. The two other men ran in opposite directions and
one was shot in the arm.
The wounded man was driven to Christiana Hospital in a private
vehicle, treated and released.
