Police in Madison, Wis., report a Good Samaritan was slugged in the face after giving a panhandler a buck.
According to police, the victim pulled $14 out his pocket and gave the panhandler a dollar.
Police say the man then grabbed they entire wad of cash and walked away.
The good Samaritan followed the man and demanded his money back.
Police say the panhandler punched the man in the face, causing the victim to hit his head on a trash bin.
The Good Samaritan needed stitches.
Police report they have a lead on a suspect, who had been ticketed for menacing panhandling earlier that same day.
