Two Philadelphia police officers hurt in crash

PORT RICHMOND - August 6, 2009 It happened around 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Gaul and East Westmoreland Street.

According to Philadelphia police, the crash happened after the cruiser skidded on a patch of oil and into a cement truck.

Both officers, ages 47 and 32, were treated and released from Temple University Hospital with back and neck pain.

It does not appear the officers were responding to a call at the time of the crash.
