Flash flood watch issued for NJ

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - August 13, 2009 Central and southern Jersey towns are still mopping up from Thursday's rainfall.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for the entire state. The watch means conditions may develop that could lead to flooding.

Forecasters say showers and thunderstorms could contain heavy rainfall that the saturated soil can't quickly absorb.

Forecasters say the upper level disturbance should begin to move out later in the evening and precipitation should begin to dissipate soon after sundown.
