Harry Connick, Jr. gives zero to "Jackson Jive" on Australian TV

Harry Connick Junior was judging an Australian variety show when he was presented with an unexpected act: five singers doing a parody of the Jackson Five in blackface. Connick was a guest judge Wednesday on a live reunion show of the popular Australian program "Hey Hey It's Saturday." Four men in afro wigs and blackface sang and danced behind a Michael Jackson impersonator wearing white makeup. They called themselves the Jackson Jive. Connick gave them a score of zero and told them if they did that in the United States the show would be pulled off the air.

The show's host apologized to Connick at the end of the show. Blackface performers are not common in Australia. The Jackson Jive had been on the show 20 years ago and were invited back for the reunion show
