About 2:45 Monday morning, police found the 16-year-old lying in the street outside a house on the 1900 block of South Croskey Street.
Investigators have not yet indicated if the teen was attacked outside, or ran into the street after getting attacked in a house.
She is being treated at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
So far, police have not said if they have a suspect in mind, or a motive.
