Police received numerous 9-1-1 calls around 4:15 a.m. about gunfire at the hall, located on the 3300 block of Old Capitol Trail.
Investigators say the hall was rented to host an after-hours party. Police say, a fight broke out on the dance floor, which then spilled into the parking lot. During the fight, at least one person brandished a handgun and started shooting.
A 24-year-old man, from Brooklyn, New York, was shot once in the upper leg. He was rushed into surgery and stabilized.
Two other men responded to the hospital and were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Detectives are searching for a light-skinned black male who has a dreadlock hair style who may have been involved in the shooting.
