61-year-old Geraldine Lynch died Tuesday night after being struck by a car on the 2600 block of Limestone Road.
According to investigators, Lynch was wearing dark clothing and was crossing the road in a non-designated crossing area. There was, however, a marked crosswalk and a pedestrian signal located at a nearby intersection.
Police say the striking vehicle, a Chevrolet, did in fact have its headlights on at the time of the collision.
The crash remains under investigation.
