Guilty plea in pedestrian death at Phillies park

PHILADELPHIA - February 16, 2010

Joseph Genovese, Jr., entered the plea in court Tuesday for the accident outside Citizens Bank Park in July, 2008.

Police say Genovese ran a red light and was driving while intoxicated when he struck and killed 53-year-old Cindy Grassi, of Missouri, after a game between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Phillies.

Grassi's friend, Sandra Wacker, was also hit and injured.

Genovese's sentencing is scheduled for April 13th. He is facing a maximum of 27 years in prison.
