NJ Transit bus involved in turnpike crash

ELIZABETH, N.J. (AP) - February 19, 2010

But police say none of the injuries appear to be life-threatening.

Sgt. Julian Castellanos, a state police spokesman, said the bus driver suffered a "moderate" leg injury and at least two passengers had lesser injuries.

Turnpike Authority spokesman Joseph Orlando said the crash occurred about 4:45 p.m. Friday in the southbound outer lanes near Exit 13A in Elizabeth and involved the bus, a car and a rack body truck.

Rescue crews removed some passengers through windows because the bus could not be moved and its doors were not working.
