At around 9:50 p.m. Sunday, Chester police and rescue crews were called out to the scene of an accident on the 800 block of west 2nd Street (route 291) in the city of Chester.
According to authorities, a vehicle with 5 people inside struck a pole and then a parked tractor trailer.
One person was ejected through the rear window of the vehicle.
One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene.
The four others were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Chester police continue investigating.
