Donors sought as baby waits for transplant

NEW CASTLE, Del. - May 25, 2010

Christian Clement-Wilmore was born with short-gut syndrome. He needs a feeding tube to eat and takes several medications each day.

His doctors have recommended a life-saving transplant to be done at Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh.

The family is now on the waiting list, and they're working with Children's Organ Transplant Association to help them raise money for the costs not covered by insurance, including travel expenses.

"We've really been stressed out about finances. Everything has been tough and we're young. Anything could help us," said Kiyondra Clemment, Christian's mother.

The family will be holding its first fundraiser next Saturday, June 5th.
