They have been identified as Sofia J. Ugarte, 23, of Warminster and Melissa Ann Sanginiti , 22, of Jamison, Pa. Both Ugarte and Sanginiti were interviewed by detectives and they are cooperating with the investigation, police said.
Police say they stole the Christine McGee donation fund jar and the Wheeled Scotsman donation jar from the 7-Eleven store located at 433 West Street Road back on May 23rd.
The 7-Eleven surveillance video captured the two females entering the store and it was reported that while one of the females distracted the clerk, the other took the donation jars from the counter and fled the store.
The jars were reported to contain about $30.00. None of the donation money was recovered.
Both Ugarte and Sanginiti have been charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition, Receiving Stolen Property and Criminal Conspiracy.
