Eddystone and Ridley Township Police notified Delaware State Police they were pursuing a blue Chevy Cavalier across the state line on I-495 south shortly before 4:00 p.m.
The chase continued down 495 where the suspects exited at Edgemoor Road. They then got back onto I-495 south until taking the Route 13 exit.
The Chevy then made a u-turn and got onto I-495 northbound again.
The Cavalier was finally stopped by police after about 15 minutes on 495 northbound near the Edgemoor Road exit.
Three people were taken into custody.
It is not clear why the police were chasing the car to begin with.
