Del. church damaged by lightning strike

The Action Cam was in Stanton, Delaware after a church chimney was blown apart by a lightning strike on July 19, 2010.

A fast-moving storm damaged a church in New Castle County, Delaware on Monday morning.

It happened around 9:30 a.m. at the Apostolic Temple True Church of Christ at 215 Main Street in Stanton.

A passerby called to report the strike.

When rescuers arrived they found that the chimney had been heavily damaged, with bricks scattered in the church parking lot.

There was no one inside the church when the storm struck.
