Police search for gunman in McDonald's robbery

NEWARK, Del. - January 12, 2011

The robbery occurred at 10:33 p.m. at the McDonalds located at 815 South College Avenue.

According to police, the suspect entered the store, displayed a black long barrel revolver and demanded cash. He was handed an undisclosed amount of cash then fled the restaurant. He jumped into an older model dark colored four door sedan and was last seen turning right out of the parking lot onto northbound South College Avenue.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5'8"-5'10", average build, 30 to early 40's with a mustache. He was wearing black sneakers, black jeans, a blue shirt under a black leather jacket, a knit hat, sunglasses, and cloth around his mouth.

The vehicle is only described as an older model dark colored four door sedan. The car could possibly have custom rims and tinted windows and the rear passenger window may have something on it such as a rain deflector or plastic bag.
