Flames broke out inside of 3140 Diamond Street around 4:30 a.m.
Arriving firefighters were met with heavy black smoke pouring from the house which soon turned to flames throughout.
One female who lived in the residence was taken to Temple University Hospital for burns to her stomach and is in stable condition.
Fire officials tell Action News that there was minor damage to a nearby residence.
There is no word yet on a cause.
