More than 100,000 lost power in high winds

DATELINE

At 7 a.m. Sunday, PECO reported there were fewer than 2,000 customers without electricity. Those outages are in Bucks, Montgomery and Delaware Counties. That is a big improvement, because at one point Saturday, PECO had 97,000 customers without power.

The last word from Delmarva Power Saturday night was that 5,600 customers were without electricity.

PPL in the Lehigh Valley had almost 3,300 outages as of midnight.

Atlantic City Electric reports it's trying to restore power to fewer than 1,000 customers who were cut off because of damage from the high winds.
