The New Jersey Turnpike Authority on Wednesday is expected to authorize an extra $4 million for snow removal on the toll road.
Officials say major storms depleted the $3.91 million the parkway had for snow plow contracts at the start of the 2010-2011 season.
The amount was increased by $587,000 this month.
Turnpike Authority spokesman Tom Feeney told The Star-Ledger of Newark that increase has also been exhausted and the maintenance department needs more money.
The parkway has had 16 snow events since November.
