State police say 22-year-old Richard Kyle McManus, of Langhorne, died early Sunday morning when the ATV in which he was a passenger overturned in Trevorton, Northumberland County. Authorities say he was not wearing the vehicle five-point safety harness.
The Daily Item of Sunbury reports two other men were also in the vehicle when it overturned and tumbled down a 25-foot embankment around 2 a.m. in a wooded area known locally as the sand pits. They were wearing at least lap belts.
The county coroner's office says police and the district attorney are investigating.
