Some Chevy Cruzes could lose steering wheel

April 12, 2011

The recall follows an incident last month in which a steering wheel on a Cruze detached from the steering column while the car was moving.

The driver was not hurt, and GM believes it was an isolated incident.

GM plans to inspect Chevy Cruze models free of charge to ensure that the steering wheel is assembled properly.
