A sisters plea to find her brother's killer

CHESTER, Pa. - May 21, 2011

It was February 26th around 7:00pm. Edward "Boochie" Ware was getting out of his car at 4th and Hayes Street in Chester. That's when he was gunned down and robbed.

His sister was inside when she heard the shots. Her niece and baby brother were on the living room sofa.

"Three more shots rang out, and I yelled to them to get down," said Sherrelle Ware.

Sherrelle Ware ran and opened the front door, and was relieved to see Boochie running toward her, but that relief soon turned to terror.

"And I said to him, 'Are you okay?', and he said, 'Nah, I'm hit,' as he turned into the doorway past me," explained Sherrelle.

He died in front of her eyes.

She froze in the doorway, turned and saw a profile of someone running away.

"He was barely running off, like jogging. It was horrible," said Sherrelle.

There is no clear description of the shooting. That's why the Citizens Crime Commission is offering a $1,000 reward, and is appealing to anyone, if you know something, don't let the killer run free.

"We can't have him going around just shooting people, robbing them and leaving them for dead," says John Apeldorn. "It's time that the people stood up. Make that phone call."

"Please help me, please help me find the person who took my little brothers life," asks Sherrelle.
