Police say a state trooper was flagged down Friday by a pair of concerned citizens who said there was a suspicious vehicle parked in the area. When the trooper stopped the vehicle, one of the occupants, David Honeycutt, was observed trying to hide jewelry and money under a car seat. A subsequent check of nearby residences revealed one home had been burglarized.
Honeycutt was charged with burglary, theft and other charges.
