The U.S. Forest Service is paying people to collect pine cones in Minnesota's Superior National Forest.
Native jack pine cones are needed to reforest the area.
Folks can earn $50 to $70 for bushels of the pine cones.
The brown, tighter cones are worth the most.
The cone bounty runs until July 1.
Would-be pine cone hunters have to be registered to get paid.
