Officers were called around 10:30 p.m. Monday for a report of a woman down behind a shopping center along the unit block of North MacDade Boulevard.
Upon their arrival, officers found the woman with puncture wounds to her back. Investigators learned that the victim was stabbed six times with a pen knife.
The woman was transported to the hospital. Her condition is unknown.
At this time, there is no word on who stabbed the woman or why.
