Investigators say the accident happened a little after midnight on Thursday.
A Route 14 bus ran over the man in the parking lot of the terminal at Frankford Avenue and Bridge Street, in the Frankford section of the city.
The victim's legs were crushed in the accident.
He was rushed to Hahnemann University Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Police say the bus was turning into the transportation center when, they believe, the victim fell in front of the bus.
His name has not been released.
No charges have been filed in the case.
